Cystoscopy
Cystoscopy is a common urology procedure used to examine the inside of the bladder and urethra. During a cystoscopy, a urologist gently inserts a thin, flexible tube with a tiny camera—called a
cystoscope—through the urethra and into the bladder. This minimally invasive procedure allows the doctor to clearly view the bladder, prostate, and lower urinary tract, helping diagnose conditions such as bladder infections, tumors, or urinary tract issues, and monitor ongoing urologic health.
